Working professionals who want to realign their crooked smiles might understandably be reluctant to consider conventional braces that detract from their appearance, potentially interfering with their professional relationships. These individuals can get the results they desire with a method that is less intrusive on their smile’s appearance: Invisalign.
This innovative orthodontic treatment system uses clear plastic trays to reposition the teeth by applying forces to them in a similar fashion to standard brackets and wires. But clear braces such as Invisalign are barely noticeable to a casual observer. This treatment system should have no impact on your presentation as a professional.
Spending too much time in the office is another concern for orthodontic patients who are in the workforce. They don’t want to have to spend too much time away from their offices waiting for the dentist to make adjustments to their braces. With Invisalign clear braces, the patient does much of the work. You’ll swap out the trays according to the schedule provided by your dentist. Therefore, you’ll only need to schedule periodic appointments so that your provider can monitor your progress.
In addition to changing trays when indicated, you must also be conscientious about wearing the trays for the recommended amount of time each day, at least 22 hours. However, you can remove the trays at mealtime – meaning that you don’t have to worry about getting food stuck in your braces at that important business lunch – and when it’s time to brush and floss.
Invisalign is also more comfortable than conventional braces, because it lacks the sharp-edged brackets and wires that can injure the soft tissues of your mouth. While this benefit may not specifically relate to your professional life, it’s still a nice feature of the treatment.
Are you interested in improving your smile with clear braces, such as Invisalign? Schedule a consultation at our office to learn more about this treatment option and whether it might be suitable in your case.

Having teeth straightened using Invisalign clear braces has many advantages over other traditional methods. One of those advantages is that they are removable – this means you have no dietary limits beyond those which you normally honor to maintain great dental health.
Drinking tea and coffee can lead to stained dentition; however, if you leave aligners in while consuming beverages high on the list known to produce stain, you might be increasing their staining capability. If you find yourself in the position of consuming beverages while wearing your aligners, it is best to excuse yourself as soon as possible to remove the aligners, rinse or brush teeth, and thoroughly rinse the aligner before replacing on your teeth.
If aligners are in place beverages known to stain can actually allow the liquid to seep between the aligner and dentition increasing the likelihood that staining can occur.
With standard teeth straightening methods, braces are cemented in place. The foods and beverages you consume can trap sugars and acids that can lead to dental stain, decay, and/or disease. That is one of the huge advantages with Invisalign clear aligners, in addition to:
- They are clear – this means teens and adults can enjoy a smile makeover without the stigma of metal bands and brackets.
- They are comfortable – No wires or metal to chafe soft oral tissue.
- They are convenient – You simply replace your aligner with the next in the series every two weeks. Each new aligner continues to gently shift teeth until the correct occlusion is achieved. Dental visits are limited to periodic checks to make sure teeth straightening is on track.
- They are removable – this is the biggest advantage of all. There are no dietary limitations, and braces can be removed for daily oral maintenance. There are no obstacles making flossing easy; and your dentist will be able to thoroughly clean and polish your teeth every six months to keep them bright.
You are required to wear the aligners every day for a minimum of twenty to twenty-two hours to achieve the correct occlusion in the designated time frame. The only time aligners should be out is to eat, brush, and floss.
At the end of the straightening process, a retainer is provided that must be worn just like the aligners to allow teeth to form a memory of their new, correct location.

When you’re undergoing treatment to get a straighter smile, the positioning of your teeth may not be the only issue involved. Malocclusions (“bad bites”) can also be problematic and affect your smile’s appearance as well as your ability to chew and speak properly. If you have been interested in getting Invisalign clear braces to reposition your teeth, rest assured that this treatment can also help to address a variety of bite issues.
Invisalign can correct underbites, overbites, crossbites and open bites as well as fairly significant crowding. Of course, you want to choose the treatment method that is most likely to be successful in achieving your smile goals, so you should consult with a dentist to determine if Invisalign is likely to be effective in your specific case.
If the dentist determines that Invisalign is a good fit for you, you’ll gain a number of advantages over conventional braces. Invisalign clear braces are much more convenient than regular braces. The clear plastic trays that reposition the teeth can be removed at mealtime so the patient doesn’t have to give up any of his or her favorite foods. Just be sure to rinse thoroughly before you put the trays back in your mouth so that no food debris gets trapped next to your teeth where bacteria can feed on it and wreak havoc.
You can also remove the Invisalign trays to brush and floss your teeth, eliminating the need to clean around appliances that just get in the way.
Not to mention that Invisalign doesn’t intrude on your smile’s appearance during the course of your treatment, unlike the unsightly brackets and wires involved in standard braces. The trays are barely noticeable.
In return for this convenience, patients must be conscientious about wearing the trays for the recommended amount of time each day (around 22 hours) and switching out the trays on the schedule provided to you.
Invisalign can correct many bite issues, so if you need to address a malocclusion in addition to crooked teeth, call us today and set up an evaluation with one of our providers to see if this option may work for you.

Patients whose teeth have shifted after orthodontic treatment are often interested in a second round of treatment to correct that problem. However, they may not want to spend a lengthy time in traditional braces that obscure their smile and negatively affect their appearance. Invisalign clear braces can be a good alternative for these patients.
Invisalign clear braces reposition the teeth by applying forces to them via custom-designed clear plastic trays rather than brackets and wires. The trays can be removed at meal time and when brushing and flossing, so they are less disruptive to the patient’s normal routine.
Patients who were treated with traditional braces in their teens can be candidates for Invisalign clear braces, and many choose this treatment out of concern for maintaining a professional appearance and better convenience.
If you are interested in Invisalign, you should consult with our dentists who can evaluate your case to determine if the system can help you achieve your smile goals.
Those of you who have previously experienced traditional braces may remember that you always seemed to be in your orthodontist’s office for adjustments to the appliances. That’s not the case with Invisalign. The patient is responsible for switching out the trays according to the schedule provided by the dentist, so you only have to come into the office periodically to monitor your progress with the treatment.
It’s important to adhere to that schedule, though, and be sure that you are wearing your trays for at least 20-22 hours each day. If you don’t follow those directions, you won’t get the results you want in the desired timeframe.
Invisalign also can be used to treat malocclusions (misaligned jaws), such as overbites, underbites and crossbites. If you have any of these concerns, you may also want to check in with your dentist to see if Invisalign can help.
If you’ve already been through one round of conventional orthodontic treatment and need to reposition your teeth again, consider Invisalign. Call our office to learn more about this treatment option.

One of the many benefits of Invisalign clear braces is that patients can see their results in real time. They don’t have to wait for months while their smile is obscured by metal appliances to enjoy their new smiles. Because Invisalign uses clear plastic trays to apply the forces necessary to move the teeth, patients are able to view their pearly whites throughout treatment.
Patients do need to have some patience, however, as it does take some time to reposition the teeth into the correct alignment. Give the treatment at least 4-6 weeks before examining your smile for any changes. Furthermore, you won’t see drastic changes initially. Rather, your smile will evolve in a more subtle way.
Although you may be able to see your teeth begin to straighten relatively quickly in comparison to conventional braces, it’s still essential for you to follow through with wearing all of the Invisalign trays according to the schedule provided by your dentist in order to get your desired results. Additionally, patients should be sure to wear the trays for the recommended amount of time each day, usually 20-22 hours.
Of course, others will be able to notice your new smile as it develops, too, which is an additional benefit of the Invisalign system. You don’t have to feel like you need to cover up your smile so that co-workers, friends, family and even strangers won’t be able to notice your braces.
In addition to being less intrusive on your smile’s aesthetics, the Invisalign trays tend to be more comfortable as well. While patients still may experience some discomfort as the teeth shift into their proper positions, they won’t be poked by wires or run the risk of having a bracket’s sharp edge cut into the soft oral tissues.
Patients who choose Invisalign clear braces will begin to see results much more quickly than those who opt for standard braces, in addition to enjoying many other benefits. Talk to our dental team at Ora Dental Studio to see what you can expect in your specific case.

The purpose of investing time and money to wear Invisalign clear braces is to obtain straight healthy teeth and a smile makeover.
Once you have achieved these goals, the best way to maintain your new oral condition is through wearing a retainer. The purpose of a retainer is to hold teeth in their new, corrected position while they develop a memory of where they belong.
Failure to follow the direction of your dentist and ignoring wearing a retainer can result in teeth shifting back to their original position.
Invisalign clear braces are designed to slowly shift teeth to their correct occlusion. This means the upper teeth will correctly align with the bottom teeth.
The beauty of Invisalign is they are clear; removable; comfortable; and affordable.
Clear – The retainers are made from a transparent material making wearing “braces” virtually undetectable.
Removable – The aligners are removed for eating meals and snacking. All your favorite foods and snacks remain on the menu. Brushing and flossing are made much simpler with the aligners removed for these daily tasks. Dental visits for cleaning and exams are more thorough than with traditional braces.
Comfortable – No wires or metal means no abrasions or cuts in the soft oral tissue.
Affordable – Your smile makeover investment is comparable to other teeth straightening programs.
At the conclusion of treatment, your straightened teeth will provide more than a new smile. When teeth are crooked or misaligned, there are areas for bacteria to grow. This leads to plaque build-up. When this condition persists, dental decay and/or gum disease are more likely to occur.
Straight teeth allow you to brush and floss reaching areas previously difficult to access. Performing these tasks daily will help prevent the occurrence of decay.
The retainer provided by your dentist is to be considered as the final leg of treatment, and is as critical to your orthodontic outcome as each aligner was throughout the straightening process.
You may be instructed to wear the aligner for up to a year, and perhaps even to continue to wear at night for longer.
But consider wearing your retainer as your insurance policy to prevent returning to the days of crooked teeth. You can smile with a renewed self-confidence as your new appearance is yours to keep for a lifetime.
To find out if you are a candidate for Invisalign, call any of our convenient locations and schedule your professional consultation today.

While many people associate a straight smile with attractiveness, properly aligned teeth also promote optimal oral health. Straight teeth are easier to clean than crooked and overlapped teeth. In fact, patients with crowded and crooked teeth hold a higher risk for developing periodontal disease and tooth decay because they cannot properly brush and floss between teeth. Even though many patients received orthodontic treatment during adolescence, the eruption of wisdom teeth during adulthood and other factors contribute to a crooked smile later in life. Sadly, many adults shy away from orthodontic treatment because they do not want to wear conspicuous metal and wire braces. Fortunately, our dentist officers Invisalign clear braces, a viable alternative to traditional orthodontic appliances that is both discreet and comfortable.
Using a patented system of clear aligners, Invisalign applies pressure to shift teeth to a healthier position over time.
Using a patented system of clear aligners, Invisalign applies pressure to shift teeth to a healthier position over time. Patients will wear a series of custom fitted aligners over the course of a few months. Unlike traditional wire braces, Invisalign is removable so that patients can brush and floss their teeth as they normally would. Invisalign clear braces are also removed during meals, allowing patients to chew their favorite foods more comfortably.
Made from soft and slightly pliable plastics, these aligners are more comfortable when compared to traditional braces because their structures do not scrape or cut soft tissues in the mouth. Invisalign also does not require metal brackets or the attachment of metal anchors to support orthodontic movement. Because these braces are clear, this orthodontic system is incredibly discreet and practically unnoticeable to others.
Invisalign was designed to serve patients in need of inconspicuous and comfortable orthodontic care—especially adults. If you desire a straighter, healthier smile, we encourage you to schedule a consultation with our friendly, experienced dentist. At your consultation, our team will determine if Invisalign will benefit your smile after conducting an oral examination. A malocclusion is a condition where the top arch of teeth does not align properly with the bottom arch. When teeth do not meet correctly, they can slide off each other when chewing or create problems that may result in teeth grinding and/or clenching. When this occurs teeth will benefit greatly with an orthodontic correction, and today many people are selecting Invisalign clear braces.
Invisalign clear braces have many advantages over traditional metal bands and brackets. Invisalign braces are clear and removable providing many advantages:
- Since they are clear, the process of straightening teeth is done very discreetly. Teenagers and young professionals find this to be one of the primary benefits.
- Being removable is a second huge advantage. Patients can continue to eat their favorite foods, which is normally not possible with traditional braces. The patient simply pops the Invisalign clear braces out for meals and snacks, replacing when done.
- Taking care of oral health is important, and can be simply accomplished by removing the aligners to floss and brush daily. The semi-annual dental appointments for a thorough cleaning and dental exam are easily performed without the burden of traditional dental braces.
- Comfort – The aligners are made from plastic. There are no wires to break or metal that can result in painful abrasions to soft oral tissue. The aligners are replaced approximately every two weeks to keep the straightening process moving on track.
- Athletes – Anyone who must wear a mouth guard will appreciate not having to find one to fit over metal braces. With Invisalign, the aligner is removed during such activities, and a protective mouth guard is worn. The aligner is replaced at the conclusion of the event.
As with any dental procedure, the patient must undergo an examination by the dentist to make certain they have a treatable malocclusion with Invisalign. This usually involves photographs, x-rays, and dental impressions. These will be sent to the Invisalign lab where the technician will utilize digital 3-D technology to fabricate the series of aligners that will gently reposition teeth to correct the bite.
Treatment time with Invisalign is very close to the time required for standard treatment. It just doesn’t seem as long as the patient enjoys the freedom of removing the aligners while eating, brushing, flossing, and enjoying life while they undergo straightening their teeth.

Having a “knock-out” smile is the envy of every man and woman, young and old. Achieving that smile today is both comfortable and convenient with Invisalign clear braces.
Straight teeth don’t always happen naturally. Over-crowded jaws can create an overbite; large teeth can force teeth to grow in crooked and missing teeth can create gaps between teeth. However, all of these dental problems and more can be resolved with Invisalign.
Invisalign clear braces offer a corrective program that:
- Straightens teeth through a series of clear, soft aligners that gently shift the teeth to their correct position. Aligners are updated every couple of weeks to keep the straightening process moving forward.
- Allows the wearer to remove the aligners for eating and to perform the daily hygiene regimen of flossing and brushing.
- Gives the dentist the opportunity to keep teeth properly cleaned, and if dental decay is present it is easier to detect and repair than with traditional braces.
Traditional braces are bulky, uncomfortable and not very attractive. Invisalign clear aligners are virtually undetectable, soft and because they’re removable, they’re very convenient. There are no metal wires to poke, and no metal brackets to cut soft mouth tissue or cause abrasions.
Having a “knock-out” smile is the envy of every man and woman, young and old. Achieving that smile today is both comfortable and convenient with Invisalign clear braces.
Traditional braces result in a restricted diet – healthy fruits and vegetables may be limited, snacks like chips, and even bread can bend the wires.
With Invisalign, just remove the aligners when dining or snacking and replace when finished. Feel free to enjoy all your favorite foods!
Special events like a wedding, prom, pictures to remember exceptional times – all can be happier occasions when you have the choice to leave the transparent straighteners in or remove them for a brief period of time.
Although the aligners are removable, it is critical to wear them a minimum of twenty to twenty-two hours daily. Failure to do so can delay treatment progress. In addition, if the program gets off track, aligners may not fit correctly preventing them from doing their job.
The initial consultation and early visits to the dentist are very similar between metal braces and Invisalign. Pictures, x-rays, and dental impressions will be taken. But the similarities stop there. No spacers are required; discomfort from periodic adjustments does not occur; and there is no metal in sight. The comfort and convenience of Invisalign has made correcting a malocclusion a much more pleasant experience.
