Dr. Mark Broomhead began his collegiate career at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. He graduated from U of I with a bachelor's degree in finance. During his time at the University of Illinois, Dr. Broomhead also studied for a semester at the University of Bradford in Bradford, England. Here he devoted his studies to international business. From this point, Dr. Broomhead decided to continue his collegiate career in the field of dentistry.

Dr. Mark J. Broomhead graduated dental school from the University of Illinois at Chicago in May 2005. There he received the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Soon thereafter, Dr. Broomhead began practicing dentistry in Orland Park, Illinois. Upon graduation, Dr. Broomhead was awarded the Dr. Gerson Gould and Mr. Sol H. Gould Memorial Scholarship that is awarded to the top student that embodies the standards of clinical excellence. He was also awarded with the Dr. Jerry F. Balaty Award in recognition of excellence in operative dentistry. During his time at UIC-COD, Dr. Mark was a course instructor for other dental students. He also spent time working with children at the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago.

He is an active member in the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Broomhead is also committed to the continuing education these societies offer and regularly attends educational seminars so he remains current with the latest dental research and new advancements in esthetic as well as general dentistry.
